The Washout Round 18 is scheduled for this Saturday 31 July, but what chance it gets washed out? Sydney has been experiencing plenty of rain this week and more is expected so it's not looking good, already the UTS Tigers Vs ANU Grizzlies match has been moved and other changes or cancellations are on the cards.
Three games in both 1st and 2nd Divisions are scheduled from earlier washed out matches and all have a bearing on semi final placings.
At Marrickville Oval Lewisham Old Boys/ACU hopes of a 1st Division finals berth hinge on its clash with the Canberra Uni Cows whilst in 2nd Division the UTS Tigers have managed a late move of its 2nd Division match against the ANU Grizzlies from Blackmore Oval to the undercard at Marrickville.
A few kilometeres west at Norford Park Sydney Uni face West Sydney Blues in 1st Division and RailCorp Apprentices in 2nd Division. The Blues will be keen to stay at the top of the ladder but Sydney Uni must win to keep their place in the semis race safe whilst the other "home" team RailCorp will be playing for pride.
Further west at Kellyville Oval the Norwest/Nirimba Polecats and Cumberland College Beavers 1st Division sides play for the McMartin/Baitieri Cup and the John McMartin Challenge Shield, not to mention, for the Beavers, a win also keeps them in finals contention.
Finally at the end of the F3 Newcastle Uni Sea Horses host the Cumberland College Beavers in 2nd Division, but Newcastle has been even wetter than Sydney, so some strong doubts whether this match will go ahead.
Any cancellations or venue changes will be posted on the website as they come through.
